Faith is a doing thing

Some say that all you need to be saved is simply believe, but is that what the Bible teaches?  

Well, no.  See what we read in James 2:14 "What use is it, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but he has no works? Can that faith save him?" The answer to that question is, no.  Faith if it has no works can't save.  We need faith, but a working faith.

 We also read in James 2: 17 "Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself."

The last thing we want is a dead faith.
