Philip the evangelist

Philip ran up and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?” And he said, “Well, how could I, unless someone guides me?” And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him. Acts 8:30-31

We have our own Philip here in Arusha and his name is Allen. One day last week we were diving to a study when Allen shouted out, “stop the car, there is a man reading his Bible, I have to speak to him.” Almost before the car had come to a full halt, Allen was out of the car and running towards the Bible reader.

We studied the Bible with this man, Eugene, and were invited back a couple of days later, when Eugene had invited a couple of his friends to study also. We worked together in the examination of the Lord’s word for over 2 hours, and we only stopped because Allen and I had another study to go to. We plan to study with Eugene today and with the tree of them again on Wednesday.

The future of this work is bright when we have men like Allen, men who love the Word and want to share it with any and everyone.

Please continue praying for this work
